The newly developed dual internal focusing design enables the fastest autofocus of all professional camera systems. The optical image stabilization system compensates for up to 3.5 stops of camera shake.
An intricate 23 elements, 17 groups optical design incorporates seven anomalous partial dispersion elements to significantly reduce chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range. The movement of the two focal elements is provided by a newly developed drive consisting of linearly guided lenses with stepper motors. A special feature is the constant length, during focusing and zooming. The supplied lens hood prevents disturbing reflections and stray light. The lens is equipped with a detachable stand base to mount on a tripod. It’s easy to carry in hand and attached a lens strap thanks to its ergonomic design. With the lockableble tripod mount ring, the lens can be fied at any angle. A click-stop every 90 degrees allows to quickly switch between landscape and portrait modes.
